Director of Choral Music, Harker Middle School, San Jose, CA -- 2018-present

Music Director, Woodside Community Theatre, Woodside, CA  — 2010-2018

Although I was vocal director and assistant music director from 2010-2015 I stepped into the music director role with the death of Richard Gordon in 2016, who had been music director for the previous 20 years.

Director of Choral Music, Sacred Heart Schools, Atherton, CA — 2016-2018

I was a full time teacher instructing three choruses as well as the vocal and music director for the high school musicals.

Music Director & Visual and Performing Arts Department Chair, Notre Dame High School, Belmont, CA — 1999-2016

Directed four award-winning choruses as well as an award-winning string orchestra.  I taught choir & voice, directed the string orchestra and coordinated the Tri-M Music Honor Society.  I also was the vocal director for Tri-School Productions.  I toured extensively with the music ensembles to New York, Hawaii, Washington D.C., Tennessee, Vancouver, Sydney, Madrid, Barcelona, and Rome.  Under my direction the Notre Dame ensembles performed in Carnegie Hall, the Grand Ole Opry, the Sydney Opera House, and the Vatican.

 

Middle School Choral Teacher, Notre Dame Elementary School, Belmont, CA — 2012-2016

Taught 6th-8th grade choir once a week to 90 spirited 6th, 7th and 8th grade students.

 

Music Teacher, Balboa High School, San Francisco, CA — 1997-1999

Primary choir and symphonic band instructor in a fun and challenging inner city environment.

 

Music Director, Pacifica Children’s Chorus — 1995-2002

Created and directed a private chorus in Pacifica, CA as a sole-proprietor.   This chorus served the coast-side and the musicians ranged from second to twelfth grade.

Responsible for vocal coaching of the yearly musical.
